The Jewellery Design Awards are run biannually in Lightning Ridge NSW, Australia and is one of the most prestigious opal design competitions in the world. Run by International Opal Jewellery Design Awards Association (IOJDAA) they were created to promote free-form and or undulating surface opals in exquisite jewellery. ‘Wait a Minute, It’s Coming to Me’ was a piece I entered in the 2013 Design Awards. It claimed first place i the Nine to Five Wear category.
Piece Details Three Queensland Opals set in sterling silver hollow rectangular shapes. The stainless steel cable is threaded through the hollow forms which are kept seperate with two silver beads.
